Qualification Criteria

The following individuals will receive an invitation to compete in the Barrett Amateur Championship.

1. Winner of the Barrett Amateur (lifetime).
2. Finished among the top 25 at the previous year's Barrett Amateur.
3. Any player ranked in the Top 150 in the R&A's World Amateur Golf Rankings.
4. Any player ranked in the Top 150 in the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings (SPWAR).
5. Current or Past Champions of all officially recognized National Amateur Championships.
6. Make the cut at the previous year's Canadian Amateur.
7. Winner of the any Provincial Amateur Championship in the past 5 years.
8. Member of any Provincial Willingdon Cup team - current year.
9. Finish among the top 10 at any current year’s Provincial Amateur Championship.
10. Finish among the top 10, in the previous year, of any Provincial Order of Merit or equivalent.
11. Finish among previous year’s top 20 of any US State order of Merit.
12. Finish in the top 25, in the previous year, of any recognized National Amateur Men’s Order of Merit, or equivalent.
13. Top 10, in the previous year, of any recognized National Junior Boys Order of Merit, or equivalent.
14. Selections at the discretion of the Committee.

Guidelines

The Guidelines and Local Rules will be distributed to the players at the event.
