Information
The Barrett Amateur originated in 2000.
At its inception, invitations were sent out to the best Amateur
players from Eastern Canada. As the tournament grew, the reach
of the field grew, with growing numbers of players from across
Canada and into the United States, choosing the Barrett as
a tournament on their competitive schedules.
Today, the Barrett is a 72-hole championship
and hosts top Amateurs from all over the world. The tournament
venue is the beautiful Fairmont Algonquin golf course in Saint
Andrews, New Brunswick. The winner of the Barrett Amateur
receives a Barrett Amateur navy jacket and an exemption into
the Canadian Amateur. |
